
Traditional public public service transporters blocked the passage along Avenida 2 Norte, in front of the Municipal Administrative Center (CAM), where the towers of the Mayor’s Office of Cali and Emcali work.

They make claims because for a decade, pointing out that neither the previous district administration nor the current one gave solutions to those who worked in companies that were out of circulation. The city transport system is lent by the Buses of the Mass Integrated of the West (MIO).
10 years ago there were four transport dealers who formed the autonomous heritage disintegration of Cali’s buses (Pa Debca) for 90,000 million pesos. The idea was, according to protesters, to receive payments for chatarization of 1,374 buses of the traditional collective, for an initial value of 17,730 million pesos.

Last year, 46 collective transport bus drivers protested in Cali. They said they got tired of promises, while their families «have endured hunger in 10 years.» They have been demanding reimbursement to the transport system or expedite the chattering of their vehicles with their promised economic compensations.
One of the drivers was William Molina, who at that time sewed his mouth.
«We have come in a problem for nine years (at that time) since the Mayor’s Office canceled the authorization of the company with which we worked and left us without a company. We need to be given a prompt solution to the situation that we have been living,» said Frank Herrera, at that time, speaking by Molina, who had his lips literally sewn with thread.
According to the mayor of Cali, the Administration, «through the Secretary of Mobility of the city, Gustavo Orozco, maintains a dialogue with the protesters.»
It seeks to advance in a solution to a situation that drags more than 10 years of delay.
